It was clear early on that seductive war imagery, as seen on the 24-hour news broadcasts and in the papers, was stronger than protests throughout the world. Moreover it was very clear that even minor protest would not be tolerated, and that perpetrators would be branded as unpatriotic. So what can a designer do? Be a loyal member of the opposition because doing that is every bit as patriotic as waving the flag.
