Members have unique "Lightbox" capabilities for organizing examples from the Archives.

AIGA yearly competitions are documented in this annual publication mailed to each professional and associate member.

Designer Directory
The AIGA directory is the largest available and helps you keep in touch with colleagues and clients. Every member is listed in the membership directory, and has password protected access to update all contact information contained there.

Design Jobs offers employment and portfolio services for locating new opportunities, both for designers and those who hire them. Members can post an on-line portfolio for free; and receive a 50% discount off job listings.

Reduced fees
Members always receive reduced fees for admission to events, submissions to competitions and registration for conferences. There are many free opening receptions for AIGA Gallery exhibitions each year to which only members are invited.

The AIGA mailing list is its member list. Mailed announcements are only sent to members.

Fed Ex
Fed Ex offers AIGA members discounts through its Association Advantage Program. For example, save 16% on letters, 10% on packages. In addition, the $3 pickup fee is waived for members. Take advantage of the program by calling 800 345-6227, but before you do, contact the chapter office for the special code needed to access these rates.

Insurance
TEIGIT/Diamond Association Group Insurance Trust offers policies for members in the tri-state area. Call TEIGIT at 212-758-5675 (or 800-886-7504 from outside New York State). You need only to identify yourself as an AIGA member, or as a prospective one. TEIGIT will notify AIGA to confirm your membership status before your coverage can begin.

Payment letter


Self-employed professionals should note that membership dues are fully tax-deductible as a business expense. Those who work for larger design studios or in-house design departments should inquire if dues will be paid by their employers. A committee of members crafted a letter to use when requesting payment for your dues by your employer.
