Student groups are a great way for AIGA student members to
participate in the organization and and develop an understanding
of the culture
and profession of design.
There are currently eight AIGA NY student groups:
- Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY
- New York City College of Technology, CUNY, "City Tech"
- New York Institute of Technology
- Pratt Institute, MFA Communication Program
- Rutgers University, New Brunswick
- Sage College of Albany
- School of Visual Arts, MFA Design Program
- SUNY New Paltz
Each group is coordinated by a faculty advisor. If you want to start an AIGA student group at your school, team up with one of your design instructors and let us know.
The latest issue of the AIGA on-line journal of design education,
Loop3 focuses on
user-centered design. Hasn't design always been focused on the customer?
