Anxiety, bravado, conscience, denial...
Theres a list of reasons artists are sometimes compelled
to do other things. Sometimes these other things
become other jobslike baking cookies or performing stand-up.
AIGA/NY presents a panel of esteemed daring doers that tells us
why change is liberating even if its scary.
Join best-selling author and NPR radio host Kurt Andersen as he
asks designer Michael Ian Kaye, City Bakerys Maury Rubin and
illustrator/designer Laurie Rosenwald how they got from here to
there, there to here, what prompted reinvention, what allowed it
logistically, what part of it was pure chance, and what part planning.
