Anderson Werner, designer and principal of Werner Design Werks, Minneapolis started her career at Duffy Design Group fresh out of Moorehead State University. She opened WDW in 1991 with no clients and no prospects, but with fingers crossed, things quickly fell into place. This tactile, honest and hard-working design has has attracted clients which include: Chronicle Books, Mohawk Paper, Blu Dot Design and Manufacturing, Simple Simon Delivering Groceries, Nick at Nite, VH-1 Networks, Foote Cone & Belding, Ogilvy & Mather, Minnesota Public Radio, Amazon.com, Comedy Central, FX Networks, Urban Outfitters, MTV Latino, Rafiki Wine Company, Target stores and Nike. The work of WDW has been recognized with numerous national and international awards and honors and is included in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, Musțe de la Poste, Victoria and Albert Museum, the Cooper Hewitt Museum, and 100 World’s Best Posters.
