About Donating
Do my donated items have to be “graphic design” stuff?
No, you can donate anything that somebody will want to snatch up.

May I donate big items?
Why, as a matter of fact, yes. But let’s keep things small enough to be taken home by the purchaser in cab.

Chairs, lamps, tschotchkes?
Sure. BUT, please remember, the customers will be tasty designers like yourself. Beige surplus supplies are a no-no.

Can AIGA pick up my donations?
No. It might shock you to know the New York Chapter has one full-time employee; and he doesn’t have a drivers license.

Will I be given a receipt for tax deduction purposes?
Of course, for the maximum the law allows, which is a measly $500.

When can I bring my donations?
Until Friday 12 December bring items to:
AIGA National Design Center
164 Fifth Avenue, between 21st & 22nd Streets
Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please note: AIGA will be closed on Thursday 27 & Friday 28 November and no deliveries can be accepted on those days.

On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December bring items to:
Pentagram Design
204 Fifth Avenue, between 25th & 26th Streets
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

About Purchasing
How will bidding for the auction work?
Items will be on display with minimum bids posted. Anyone can enter a bid; the highest bid wins. Winning bids will be announced at 4:00 p.m.

Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes, especially if you promise to pay your bill. Amex, Visa and Mastercard will be accepted, and if your bank debit card carries the logo of one of these cards, it can be used like a credit card. You can also pay with cash or check.

Will I be charged sales tax?
Unless you want us to get arrested for sales tax evasion, 8.625% New York sales tax will be added to all purchases.

Can AIGA arrange delivery of my purchases?
Sorry, you have to hail your own cab.
