Michele Washington: Passion, Funk, to a Syncopated Beat
Michele has spent years researching the influence of African American culture on design, and she has written on the subject for a number of publications. Follow as she walks through two projects on the subject. Research, writing, designing, refining.

Todd St. John of Huntergatherer: Construction Paper and Tongue Depressors
A real world design wünderkind will relive the art direction of an animated and live-action MTV campaign whose budget was slashed from previous years. His high concept borrowed from a video he made in high school.

Drew Hodges: Bohemian Rhapsody or How I learned to love Baz Lurhman!
Hodges's campaigns for Broadway have reinvented the way theater is promoted with award winning work for show's like "Sylvia or The Goat," "Chicago," and now Baz Lurhmann's production of Pucinni's La Bohème. This project required working with Baz and his wife, Catherine Martin, who is the design force behind their productions, and includes the show's identity, print campaign, TV spots and even front of the house graphics.

Carin Goldberg: Graphs and Charts and Data, Oh My!
The Gallup Company wanted an in-house magazine to communicate with its employees. Everyone has seen how boring these can be, but Carin Goldberg convinced them that an exceptionally bold and upbeat format was the way to go.

Emily Oberman & Bonnie Siegler of Number 17: The Joy of Sex and the City!
Their studio, Number 17, produces design for television (titles for shows like "Saturday Night Live" and "Will and Grace") as well as print (Lucky magazine) and chocolate covered nuts (for an independent movie chain). This dynamic duo will present the ultimate Kiss and Tell, a new publication about the television hit "Sex and the City." Come on girls, give us the gossip.
